What is the All India Sainik School entrance exam (AISSEE) eligibility for Class 6 in Sainik School?
Sainik School is a residential school affiliated with CBSE that prepares students for joining the defense academies of India. To get admission to Class 6 in Sainik School, students have to fulfill the following eligibility criteria:
- Nationality: The student must be an Indian citizen.
- Gender: Both boys and girls can apply for Class 6 admission to Sainik School.
- Age: The student must be between 10 and 12 years old as on March 31, 2025. The student must have been born between April 1, 2013, and March 31, 2015 (including both days).
- Education: The student must have passed or be appearing in the Class 5 examination from a recognized school.
Apart from these criteria, the student also has to appear for the All India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination (AISSEE) conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The AISSEE is a written test that consists of multiple-choice questions on Mathematics, General Knowledge, Language, and Intelligence. The student has to qualify the written test and then undergo a medical examination to be eligible for admission in Class 6 in Sainik School.
